Media mania is a thing. It is dangerous and debilitating and has intense impact on the poorly educated and unaware. Protesting a trial outcome where rules of evidence and law were enforced based on a media narrative is pathetic. The jury had the burden to decide if the prosecutor proved the case as charged. This narrow function is by design. This equivocation emotional cancel victimization environment is destroying us because too many don’t understand the law.
Rule of law must stand. Constitution must stand. I am pleased with the RIttenhouse verdict but my criticism would apply equally if he had been convicted. Our system is not perfect. It is however the BEST system in the world. Public safety is best protected by an informed and armed population along with respect for the police and military.

A man is forced by mandate to get an injection for which there is NO medical need. Non compliance will cost him his job. This is not a valid choice for most. Sacrificing livelihood which provides for family and life is blackmail. It is immoral and wrong. It is deplorable and despicable.
If you support this and are willing to force compliance in spite of logic and the science you should be ashamed and you can barely cause yourself a free American. There is risk. There are consequences. You are indirectly responsible for this crap if it goes badly. When the choice was removed using the force of government contracts you were made culpable. I know of a case where the medical potential for harm is actually significantly greater than the benefit. Medical exemption denied. The mandate doesn’t care. The job is required for the future. The only choice is compliance. This is not honorable leadership, policy or example by the president of the United States. Shame on the defenders of this authoritarian insanity. Thus endeth the rant. I’m furious. Lock the entire country down for over a year, scaring the bejesus out of the entire population. Keep them from grieving deaths, going to church work and school … even doctors, and seeing family who are “protected” somehow even when sick and in the hospital and then start a national movement to defund/dismantle the police, while opening borders to drugs, all manner of immigrants and who knows what else, all while installing a puppet/useless figurehead as the “President” —- crime goes up exponentially, children and families are torn apart, deaths and mental health are out of control…. Illegal gun violence is exploding…
This is the greater good?! What did you think would happen? A lot of us have been screaming that these policies are shameful a and ridiculous until we can’t scream anymore. Your “good intentions” and snowflake lunacy chickens are coming home to roost. This mess is not on us. I blame you #idiotsincharge What is the plan of the Dems in power… nationally, state, locally? Blame Trump? Spend another Couple trillion $, save the 🌎 with a green new deal? Take away guns from the only people left who will have power to defend themselves? VillifyThe law abiding, Rule of law, cling to our guns and religion deplorables. Yeah! Good luck with that. #HumpdayRant Gun violence is a national crisis. Law abiding gun owning citizens are not the perpetrators. We are not even major contributors. We are simply the only viable target available to a ruling political class bent on virtue signaling over virtue.
To fight an epidemic you must target and eradicate the source first and foremost. Any solution must be rooted in policing criminals, transforming mental health solutions/care, and teaching firearm safety. This futile exercise in creating more and more laws to restrict those who already follow the law is deplorable and misguided. It will have no material effect on the epidemic. The parallels to lockdown mentality and subservient citizens is unavoidable. The only option available is a “we will not comply” movement. This will create more law breakers not less. The #idiotsincharge are playing more and more games with the politics of power and control, manipulating emotions of the weak. When they fail to affect the gun violence with their new lockdown logic(as they did with The 2020+ lockdowns) what will we do and say? That is the question. Battles should be fought inside the capital building... but our constitution dictates the rules of how they are fought. Our representatives are expected to follow rules of debate and decorum and conduct themselves in accordance with the expectations of both their constituency and their bosses in leadership. The job of an elected representative to the Congress of the United States is a job. The citizens job is to elect a representative... The representatives job is to fight for his/her citizens with in the legislature. I am cynical about our future as a country when so many don't understand and can't even begin to articulate the practical realities of their job. #idiotsincharge I suppose I am lucky that my representative is doing a good job. My Senators are a disgrace. Judgement of the executive branch is a disaster. My job, my mission, is to be heard and communicate. I don't have a direct vote. That is how the system is designed for good reason.
74 million Americans voted for Trump and we lost the election. Vast majority of the protestors yesterday were peaceful proud Americans. The radicals who rejected rule of law and stormed the capital building violently were criminals and were indeed a vast minority. There are radicals on both sides of every issue and they must be treated with equal disdain and disgust. President Trump again acted recklessly with his rhetoric yesterday and Americans died. The escalating violence over the last year could have been stopped by Democratic and Leftist leaders but they acted recklessly in appeasing violence for votes and Americans died. Our system of govt is fully intact. We have a republic if we can keep it. Governing authority is derived from the people. Power is wielded by the people for the people by “the government” in DC and the states. We the people will always disagree. The mechanism for progress and prosperity is voting, and adherence to rule of law outlined by our constitution, enforced by our government. This is the way. The rush to blame and group is natural but wrong. 74 million maga Americans did not storm the capital building yesterday. An Illegal, incited, mob did. It was allowed to escalate out of control and Americans died. This story has been told over and over through 2020. It must not be told any more in 2021. Sadly, I’m not exactly hopeful that this is feasible. Something broke last year. It may not be repairable en masse. I pray that God is making something new in all of this. As for me and my house, we serve and we sing. This is the way. The Bill of No Rights
The following was written by State Representative Mitchell Kaye from GA We, the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid any more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bedwetters. We hold these truths to be self-evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim that they require a Bill of No Rights . ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything. ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone - not just you! You may leave the room (ed.: or this page), turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc., but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be. ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy. ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes. ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care. ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair. ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure. ARTICLE VIII: You don't have the right to demand that our children risk their lives in foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience. We hate oppressive governments and won't lift a finger to stop you from going to fight if you'd like. However, we do not enjoy parenting the entire world and do not want to spend so much of our time battling each and every little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat. ARTICLE IX: You don't have the right to a job. All of us sure want all of you to have one, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. ARTICLE X: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to pursue happiness - which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an overabundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights. ?? The Pandemic will be over when... (insert success criteria here) ??? The State of Emergency IN VA will be lifted when?(insert success criteria here) ???? The "emergency powers" granted to the supreme chancellor to restrict livelihoods, define essential business, tell us all how to best do what is for the greater good will be restored to the people when... (enquiring minds want to know) the decision teams know the answers, and they don't want to disclose their criteria for fear of being wrong, as they have been, again, and again, and again... Having the power to control makes everything easier, but it is NOT liberty, and it is barely legal.. if at all... What will life for a citizen of the United States, of Virginia, look like when the success criteria are met? the new normal... THAT IS THE REAL QUESTION that leaders are avoiding like the plague.. literally. If the answer is back to normal, then they would already be answering... Instead.. they are ducking and delaying... because their motives have morphed from safety for the greater good, to opportunity to control and "profit" from the crisis... Spreading fear is good for the business of government and it perpetuates dependency and disintermediates churches, family structures, and all of those freedom loving groups... WHEN WILL THINGS BE BACK TO NORMAL...? If the answer is when it is safe, then the real answer is never.. because living is not safe. It is living(right to choose risk, and act accordingly), and the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is granted to the individual...not to be restricted by the government, as designated and protected by the Constitution of the United States of America. I sincerely hope that I am wrong. If I am wrong, I will take a full mea culpa lap. I do not believe I am wrong. The outcomes now are mired in a toxic brew of incompetence and malevolent intent... and we the people are losing over and over at every step. THAT is a system problem.. but it is rooted in principals, not principles... For the Record... Black Lives Matter. I stand with my black, brown and other friends against hatred and bigotry...
as to BLM... -- that organization is a seditious, disaster area, Petri dish for violence and victimization culture...that is dead wrong in its view of family and community. The communist and utopian idealism driving insane ideas such as #defundthepolice MUST be opposed in principle... peacefully, with honor and dignity. This is very hard to do when mob rule reigns and groups of activists allow themselves to be corrupted into violence against property AND fellow citizens by agitators... It is impossible to discuss honestly even in principle when so many black Americans are being killed by other non-white Americans... It must stop. Everyone agrees that Black lives matter. BLM should NOT matter. It is a virus that is destroying lives, families, and communities everywhere that it rises. That is a fact. Even as a 50 year old white man... I AM allowed to oppose the BLM organization and its actions... AND still support the statement that black lives matter. I am millions like me am not the enemy but I will fight you if you threaten me, my family or friends. That is an issue at our core. This is a free country, and it will stay that way, unless the BLM organization gets its way... Then, all bets are off... The urgent question before us, THE USA, is what will be different going forward. 1965 Watts, LA92, USA2020? Blacks live matter! They mattered then, they matter now, they will always matter. We the people must change the perspective of division to avoid this devastating cycle of physical violence and cultural suicide.
Law Abiding citizens must stand together peacefully. Authority must be reformed and respected. We can do better. Will we. I wonder. ON disbanding police-->> If Minneapolis wants no more police. Go for it. NYC, Chicago, LA, SF want less police funding and less police services — I think it is insane and it showcases a horrible disregard for public safety but it is their call.
This is a free country and states and localities CAN do as they choose. The rest of US will watch and learn. FYI - police powers are almost wholly reserved for the states... by design within the federalism model. — issues should be taken up with the mayors and governors IMHO. FYI 2– This foolishness will be catastrophic for the poorest and least able to flex and move. Y’all better figure out who you are going to call when the actual evil criminals show up at your door. Arm yourself and educate yourself is my advice. Defunding and Abolishing will be a disaster. Abolish the police is foolishness. Defund the police is misguided and reckless. I am watching my country listen to uninformed, inexperienced children for public policy. This is insanity.
Systemic Reorganization without cultural change changes almost nothing with huge costs. Any movement that REQUIRES 100% compliance by dictate is doomed. Authority and enforcement MUST persist. Rule of Law is the only way. It is naive and utterly ridiculous to embrace an idyllic utopian view that is impractical and dangerous. We have the best system of government in the world. We should be using it and reforming our representatives and leaders using our VOTEs. We the people can and will stand together to reform America. The process for progress never ended and it never will. I don’t know anyone that is opposed to peaceful protests. I don’t know anyone that supports violence against police. I do know a lot of people with highly disparate political views. Community relationships and civility can bridge gaps moving rhetoric into action. Local. Local. Local. Is how we the people change things. Coordinating and executing cultural change clearly takes much longer than anyone of us imagines. Generational transformation appears to be a system of two steps forward, one step back. Succeed and fail and adapt is a process. There is no magic bullet and one size does not fit all.
#Fridayfighty list. Most of this isn’t even remotely new. Pondering this list is why I can’t sleep.
I didn’t know the man. I wish I had. I wish I had been with him when he was killed. I wish that someone had stood for him with him when it mattered most. I am angry and deeply saddened that this tragedy occurred.
I didn’t know the man. I wish I had. I’m not sure it matters now. My covenant with my country is to stand and be counted as a brother against the tyranny and abuse of power. I believe that many have a sickness in their soul ls which allows them to dehumanize others. It allows them to deign to rule over those that they deem lesser. Race is one in a long list of inequities that we the people seem incapable of remedying. You may have solutions for the system. I think they will all fail. Only hearts and relationships can change our culture. God is at the center of our repentance and HE is the center of His solution. My solution is to pray and serve others. To pray and serve together with others. To pray and serve God first and foremost. I don’t know the men and women that I will serve and serve with, but I will soon enough. I am sorry that I didn’t know George. be. Love serve. Repeat. The 2020 surveillance state in public is a good thing. Video is the most reliable way to capture events for the record. The sheer volume of mobile devices and cameras in the US forces us to consider our actions and choices. We the people can judge for ourselves in many cases. This is good. We have no expectation of privacy in public and on social media. The quality of mobile device video has improved so dramatically that we can all contribute to the record in a meaningful way. Authority figures and bullies are held accountable as it should be.
if we can develop more respect for one another this won’t be an issue. Public is public. Each of us should now consider ourselves “armed” with the ability to record. Each of us must assume that we are being recorded. I’m armed in other ways as well when I’m in public. You should be too. It makes us all safer. #1A #2A |
