Can you hear me... Should I be talking?

Communication in leadership is about achieving an outcome. If you spend majority of time trying to control drama and spin because of your lack of skill, you need to change something... maybe everything... channels are for attention but attention doesn’t equate to progress and success.

The outcomes are the goal... outcomes represent value. Communication and spin are only means to an end. Bad communication in leadership will lead to poor outcomes, division, and demagoguery.

What is the state of your communication?

He is so fat

if you are thinking this : “he is so fat... big... huge...crazy...” you are part of the problem, not the solution. #MorbidObesity just one of many disorders that affect us. Mental health issues come to mind immediately as well. The urge to feel superior and think that the other guy is doing it to himself is not correct. It is morally reprehensible.
The person that you judge does not want to be less successful, less capable, disabled. They may indeed have issues with decisions, education, AND genetics, culture, friends, and environment. In fact, they do, and we all do.

Solving #morbidobesity is a huge challenge. It must be accomplished by individuals but they need help not judgement. Help us by accepting us as we are. Love us and encourage us but remember that we aren’t “better” because we look better. We are better because we are in control, we have more choices, and we are less disabled in a harsh, cruel, judging society.

Recognize that the words you use come from the thoughts you harbor. You are not healthy because he is fat. Together you can both be better.

What in the world is wrong with Washington?

Why is Washington DC a mess?

Well, try leading in your local church, PTA, school, school board, or non-profit... everybody wants to be in charge, no one wants to do the real work... seeking praise and credit... Basically, it is easy to tell everyone what “they” should do ... and get rich at same time... this makes a Gigantic morally corrupt disaster zone mess.
Solution: model the appropriate behaviors... Be Love and serve ... stop trying to save everyone else. Dealing with your own family and issues is plenty hard enough.

In summary: Less government is more.
